Overview

As part of the normal operation of our services (the “Services”) we collect and, in some cases, may disclose information about you. Terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms of Use.

Minors (Under 18) Are Not Eligible To Use Our Services

Minors (those under the age of 18) are not eligible to use our services. We do not intentionally gather personal information about minors. If a minor has provided us with personal information, a parent or guardian of that minor may contact us to have the information deleted from our records. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected the personal information of a minor under 18, or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs and to customize our service to make your experience easier. You agree that in order to assist our members to meet each other we may feature members’ profiles in our editorials and newsletters that we send out from time to time to our members. Your name, address and telephone number are confidential and will not be posted in your profile. Your profile is available for other members to view. Members’ profiles include a description and photos, likes and dislikes, individual essays and other information helpful in determining matches. Your viewable profile does not include any identifying information about you, except the username you choose upon registering.

We automatically track certain non-personally identifiable information based upon your behavior on our Site using cookies and other devices. We use this information for internal research on our members’ demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our site or not). Which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser you are using, and your IP address. The way we collect this information includes:

Log Information

When you use the Site or Services or view content provided through the Site or Service, we automatically collect and store certain information in our server logs. This type of information includes details of how you use the Site or Services, IP address information described below, web pages that have been viewed by you, date and time, domain type, device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware, settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your requests, and referral URL.

Internet Protocol (IP) Address

Your “IP address” is a number that lets computers attached to the internet know where to send you data, such as screens and pages of our services that you view. We use a third party advertising company, to serve ads on our behalf across the internet. The third party may also collect anonymous information about your visits to our Site. This is primarily accomplished through the use of a technology device, commonly referred to as a web beacon or an action tag, which we place on various web pages within our web site or in an HTML email that allows Atlas DMT to collect anonymous information. Atlas DMT may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide ads about goods and services of interest to you.

If you encounter a screen or page that requests information you do not want to share with us, do not enter the information and do not proceed with that screen or page.

Non-U.S. Visitors

Please note that your personally identifiable information will be stored and processed on our computers in the United States. By using the Site or submitting your personal information to us, you are directly transferring your personal information and non-personally identifiable information to us in the United States where our central database operates and where we process information Please be aware that the laws on holding personal data in the United States may differ from the laws of the country in which you reside, but as we explain below, we will hold and transmit your information in a safe, confidential and secure environment. Our Use Of Your Information

Financial Information

We aggregate (gather up data across all our members’ accounts) personally identifiable information and disclose such information in a non-personally identifiable manner to advertisers and other third parties for other marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to identify you personally. Certain information, such as your name, email address, password, credit card number and bank account number, are never disclosed to marketing advertisers. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our behalf. These companies may employ cookies and action tags (also known as single pixel gifs or web beacons) to measure advertising effectiveness. Any information that these third parties collect via cookies and action tags is completely anonymous.

External Service Providers

There may be a number of services offered by external service providers that help you use our Site. Other Corporate Entities

Legal Requests

Information for California Residents

A California resident who has provided personal data to a business with whom he/she has established a business relationship for personal, family, or household purposes (a “California Customer”) may request information about whether the business has disclosed personal information to any third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. In general, if the business has made such a disclosure of personal data, upon receipt of a request by a California Customer, the business is required to provide a list of all third parties to whom personal data was disclosed in the preceding calendar year, as well as a list of the categories of personal data that were disclosed. Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

The Site does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.
